Brian Chris Moon, 52, of Indian Wells, California passed away October 8, 2017 at the Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Johnson Family Funeral Home – Stuart Chapel. A graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 21st in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Stuart. Brian was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on May 30, 1965, to Merrill and Lillian Moon. In 1973 the Moon Family moved to Stuart, IA, where Brian grew up playing baseball and making lifelong friends. After graduating from Stuart -Menlo High School in 1983, Brian attended college at Dana College in Blair, Nebraska, where he continued to play baseball as their star catcher. It’s easily said that baseball was one of Brian’s greatest passions, both playing the sport and watching it. Anyone that knew Brian would agree, there was no one better to watch any sporting event with, than him.

In 1989 Brian moved to Southern California where he worked for Marriott Hotels for several years, and then later for the US Postal Service.

Brian became a proud and loving father to Megan in 1995 and to Brett in 1997. His children were his heart and soul, his love for them was unsurpassed. Brian is also survived by his brother Thomas, his nieces Nancy and Cali and his nephews Michael, Jordan, Troy and Connar, and four great-nephews.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents. Brian was a loyal friend, a loving father and an all-around great man. He will be missed by all of those who had the honor of knowing him.
